The upstairs exhibition area of the Lottamuseum is closed to the public for the period of 2.6.2020 – 6.2.2020 due to the construction of the new exhibition. The museum shop as well as the outdoors exhibition Sairasjunan matkassa (Journeys on the medical train) are open to the public during opening hours. In addition, starting from June 2020, visitors will be able to explore interesting sites found within the museum grounds on their own using QR-codes.
The Lottamuseum and the Lotta café are open 9 am – 18 pm Tue-Sun from June to August, and respectively 10 am – 17 pm Tue-Sun from September to May. Welcome!
Working on the ambulance train
The outdoor exhibition gives visitors a glimpse of the life of the Lottas working on ambulance trains and at railway stations, helping the evacuees. Memories and diary entries written by the Lottas help visitors understand what life was like on the ambulance trains.
