Main exhibition

Lotta Svärd  – 100 years of societal responsibility

The fully remodeled main exhibition Lotta Svärd  – 100 years of societal responsibility, opened in May 2021. The exhibition focuses on the significant role women had in building the Finnish society from the time that Finland gained its independence to the present day.

The exhibiton showcases many of the Lotta’s personal possessions, the most fascinating photographs and never before seen archive materials from the Lotta Museum’s collection.

Special exhibition

A true Lotta? – The Lotta image through 100 years

The special exhibition presents Lotta image through different objects and pictures from 1921 until the present day. By looking at these items you can see how the Lotta’s were interpreted throughout the decades.

Outdoor exhibition

Lotta’s cabin – home in the midst of war

Welcome to the new Lotta Museum outdoor exhibition, Lottatupa (Lotta’s cabin). Here you can take a peek at a Lotta canteen from the time of the Second World War. Our exhibition showcases authentic objects, pictures of Lotta’s canteens and stories of the Lottas who worked in canteens during the wartime.
